Reprint-wave logs

Reprint waves are the quiet villains of rarity notes. A Marvel NFT comic can be genuinely tight on drop night and then reappear months later with a new label, a holiday wrapper, or a “classic cover” return that floods trays with familiar art.

A reprint-wave log lists the sequence we can document: original edition, confirmed return, and any collector nickname that grew around the later wave. We do not invent print runs. If a later wave is only rumored in group chats, the log marks it as unverified rather than folding rumor into the rarity sentence.

The log is especially useful when a cover artist’s style is reused. Collectors hunting a first appearance of a costume or a guest character sometimes buy a later wave that reprints the same interior with a different outer badge. We write the interior-to-edition relationship in plain English.

These logs stay on paper-style notes and in the optional local tracking utility. They are not marketplace listings and they are not Marvel publications.
